mission statement

ycentral is funded by NSW Health, through the Youth Mental Health Service Model-Central Coast pilot project. ycentral is managed by NSW Central Coast Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYPMH). The CYPMH Program is orientated towards mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention. The program's youth friendly venue ycentral,  promotes easy access to mental health services for children, young people (12-25yrs) and their families. There are also crisis entry points for children and yong people to promote engagement and the provision of comprehensive assessments and appropriate managment.

The services currently co-located at ycentral offer help with things including:

  • physical and mental health
  • nutrition and diet
  • drinking or drug use
  • sexual health
  • relationships
  • accommodation
  • dental needs
  • and other issues that impact on your  wellbeing.

To reduce the prevelance and incidence of the mental health problems and disorders in children and young poeple, 12-25yrs on the Central Coast of NSW and reduce associated disability.

ycentral is located in Suites 1 and 4, Level 2 237 Mann St. (The Gateway Centre), Gosford. Opposite Gosford Railway Station

We are open between 8.30am- 5.00 Monday to Friday
We are closed on weekends and public holidays

what do I do when ycentral is closed?

For urgent mental health issues call Mental Health Central Intake on 4320 3500 or go to your nearest Emergency Department. The Central Coast has Emergency Departments at Gosford 4320 2111 and Wyong Hospitals 4394 8000
