Children & Young People's Mental Health (CYPMH)
Central Intake is the first point of contact for anyone wishing to obtain CYPMH Services on the Central Coast. This service is available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week on 1800 011 511. You do not have to know what team you would like to access. Central Intake will link you to the most appropriate team of the CYPMH service, or provide information about more appropriate serivces or agencies, that might better suit your needs.
How we can help?
Once a young person is referred and enters CYPMH, they will be provided with a range of clinical and non-clinical youth mental health services in both the community and inpatient settings. Programs range from early recognition, intial contact and assessment, through to acute community based support, recovery and ongoing care. These include:

youth mental health (YMH): provides intensive case management for young people 12-24 years with a range of mental health problems and mental illness other than psychosis

young people and early psychosis intervention (YPPI): provides specialist intensive case management and support (up to 2 years) for young people aged 12-24 years who are experiencing early or first episode psychosis

youth mental health recovery and therepeutic groups: aimed at enhancing the individual work undertaken through the teams above. The recovery program offers a range of sepcifically designed groups to meet holistic needs of young people

In additon to these services, there are also a range of mental health prevention, promotion, early intervenion, research and evaluation programs within CYPMH which include:

If a referral is appropriate, the young person is then assigned a Case Manager. CYPMH provides a free, confidential service for young people and their families. Youth Mental Health (YMH) teams work in both Gosford and Wyong Local Government Areas
