Exercise Physiology

What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP)?

Exercise physiologists accredited with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) are university qualified allied health practitioners. We specialise in clinical exercise prescription, health education and the delivery of exercise-based health, lifestyle and behaviour modification programs. Our services assist in the prevention and management of chronic diseases, risk factors and/or injury. The aim of treatment is to improve functional capacity and quality of life and help people to achieve improvements in health, wellbeing and fitness.

Tempus Health provides specialised, evidence based exercise physiology services. We work with General Practitioners, medical specialists and local hospitals as well as other Allied Health practitioners including dieticians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and chiropractors to provide the best possible treatment for our patients.

Our clinic offers a number of exercise physiology services including chronic disease management and injury rehabilitation, delivered both in our patients’ homes (during home visits) or in a welcoming gym environment. These varied delivery methods allow us to treat patients in the setting most beneficial to their health, while achieving optimal outcomes.
